San Bernardino City Councilman Neil Derry has received the endorsement of the powerful organization representing California's prison guards. 

The California Correctional Peace Officer's Association (CCPOA) representing over 30,000 members transmitted its decision to the Derry campaign today. The endorsement is a major score for Derry who is challenging five-term incumbent County Supervisor Dennis Hansberger to represent the residents of San Bernardino County's Third District.

The Derry campaign picked up other key support this week by way of the Association representing county criminal justice Attorneys'. The new support has signaled a definite shift in the race to be decided on June 3rd, and it should be noted that Derry has captured all major law enforcement support available.

The Derry campaign also appears to be benefiting from a surge in fundraining activity.
