This 8½ x 11 letter from Hoa Van Tran arrived today in Vietnamese voters' mailboxes across the district.  It is a poorly designed looking piece of campaign material.  Even Hoa's logo on the envelope is crooked.

Hoa went after both of his rivals on different issues, but the main target in this letter is Janet Nguyen.  Hoa Van Tran accuses Janet of being a communist sympathizer for accepting monetary contributions from people who organized the reception for Vietnamese President Nguyen Minh Triet last year in Dana Point.

I am surprised Hoa actually named Chieu Le, the owner of Lee's Sandwiches in his letter as well.  Mr. Le was spotted at the Dana Point reception and subsequently, protesters demonstrated infront of his stores a few weeks later.
